Making of breakfast
There is this thing called "韭菜盒子"("Jiu cai he zi"). Inside the pastry, it has some vercimilli, chives, and egg...pan fried.
"Jiu cai he zi"
After breakfast, we walked around the Taipei city before heading off to the famous "Ding Tai feng" (鼎泰豐)to have lunch with my mum and one of her best friends.
A table of mouth watering food
xiao long bao (小籠包)
This, was the famous xiao long bao we came all the way for. Compared with other xiao long bao's, the outside layer was very thin and be careful, take extra care when you bit into the it - very juicy.
Chicken broth
Fried rice
Why fried rice? Did it look like any other fried rice? But when you look harder, you can see that the rice was nicely separated from each rice, and the egg was nicely surrounded by the rice. At first I also thought it was just like any other fried rice, but after I finished my little bowl of fried rice, I knew the difference straight away and wish I wanted to have more! But unfortunately there were non left!
Wonton soup
The food overall was very nicely presented and was high quality, but it has came at a price - I could have eaten around 25 traditional breakfasts for the price of the lunch that day!
Because of the humid and hot weather, we felt like something cold after lunch. I had this mango iceblend - I could see a whole mango was chopped to make this blend!! Loved it!

We went to another night market at night. This time we went to "Gong Guan" night market.
