Woo hoo! Here we are, after the longgggg wait (we decided, booked and paid the airfare to Taiwan at around late March), on our way to Taiwan. We will be stopping over @ Singapore for a few hours before we head off to Taipei in the evening. In the mean time we will be strolling around @the Singapore airport. Hmm, I am sure there will be LOTS and LOTS of shopping waiting for us…… :)
Breakfast on the plane
Both breakfasts didn't have the "wow" factor, but they both did the pupose of stopping our stomach from rumbling...I acutally thought that the noodles were a bit oily for breakfast, as I normally have toast and coffee.
Cheese-chive omelette with veal sausage, grilled tomato and potatoes
Braised egg noodles with chicken, mushrooms and Chinese greens
Snack time!
Lunch
Seared chichen in herb jus, roasted vegetables and potatoes
Stirfried beef and vegetables in oriental black pepper sauce with steamed rice
Changi Airport, Singapore
Afternoon tea...
The Coffee Bean Cafe
I quite liked this cake, as it was very moist and not too sweet. You could taste the real banana pieces from time to time.
Banana mud cake
Dinner
We hopped onto another plane to Taipei 3 hours later. The food was alot tastier than the ones we had from Sydney to Singapore, suited for the Asian palate.
Five spices flavour roast chicken served with assorted vegetables and chicken flavoured rice
Fish fillet with salsa verde, potato mash with shallot confit and spinach
Dessert
After we arrived Taipei, my uncle was kind enough to give us a lift to our hotel.

After everything was settled, we felt that we needed to get something to eat. We went downstairs and found a place that still opens at that time (It was around 11pm already)

The Egg cake - Dan bing
The Tealeaves egg
It was a long day for us..
